Ingredients

1 cup shotgun spread
1 small loaf of Italian or French bread
dried parsley flakes, optional

Chef's Tip

This works great as a “top-rack” BBQ item. If you are looking to impart a bit of smoke into your garlic bread, try this method toward the end of your next BBQ cook!

Shotgun Spread

Consider this a warning - if you try this recipe at home your family will be hooked. You will be hooked. Your neighbors will be hooked.

Instructions

Listen, Uncle Ben was onto something with that power and responsibility talk, and it applies here too. Once you serve up this bread, there's no turning back. People will want it. A lot. So, ready to get everyone hooked? Let's bake this up.

  1. Heat It Up: Preheat that oven of yours to 375°F.

  2. Slice and Dice: Cut your loaf in half lengthwise and get those halves on a baking sheet.

  3. Spread the Love: Generously smear that Shotgun Spread all over the loaf halves. Want a splash of color? Toss on some dried parsley flakes.

  4. Bake Time: Slide it into the oven and give it about 12-15 minutes. You're aiming for golden brown and bubbly, my friend.

Once that timer dings, you've got yourself a loaf that's the life of the party. Serve it up and watch everyone get hooked. Just remember, with great bread comes great responsibility. You're like the Walter White of baking—except what you're cooking up is 100% legal and 200% addictive.
